OHAfrica.: On December 1, 2004, the OHAfrica Lesotho initiative sent a team of Ontario-based health care providers to
Lesotho in commemoration of World AIDS Day. The initial team's focus is on assisting the
Lesotho Government in its efforts to foster antiretroviral therapy.

solutionsforafrica.com: A DVD project about the potential for small scale agriculture to have a huge impact
on communities and ecosystems, Solutions is an inspiring appeal for the continued support of
permaculture farmer and tree specialist Michael Nickel's work in Africa.

stephenlewisfoundation.org : Stephen Lewis is the UN Special Envoy for AIDS in Africa.
His site gives an overview of his activities and public appearances along with a listing of his
organizations' grassroots activities and projects in Africa.

Project Help Lesotho: Help Lesotho is a Canadian initiative partnering public, private and volunteer resources,
as a response to the increasingly alarming effects of poverty and HIV/AIDS in Lesotho, Southern Africa. It is
fundamentally a partnership between various interests in Canada and Lesotho.

Timberholme Publishing: Recording artist Tim Lawson has been creating unique fundraisers for
grassroots projects in Africa through donating proceeds from his music sales. Hear clips of his songs
and read more about his organization, Timberholme.

Health Partners International: a Canadian humanitarian organization that sent its first shipment of medical aid in 1990.
In 15 years, HPIC has shipped more than $170 million (wholesale value) in donated medicines, vaccines, medical supplies and
devices. We partner with Canadian companies and individuals from across the country to provide medical aid. Together
we are improving the health and lives of children and adults in the developing world.

Vaal University of Technology: Centre for Community Services and Lifelong Learning
are SOLID's community partners in Evaton West, South Africa.

VIDEA: Victoria International Development and Education Association partners with SOLID on
many public engagement initiatives and support our work overseas.Their Global Youth
program involves youth in engaging with global issues to create a meaningful future.

Make Poverty History: Lobbyists and activists for trade justice, more and better aid,
and the elimination of the debt for the worlds' poorest countries.

DATA: Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa aims to raise awareness about the crises swamping Africa.
At the core of DATA's mission is a view that the issues are not about charity but about justice and equality.
They are the US version of Make Poverty History.

and to demonstrating that individuals do make a difference.

SAN-FAN: See a need, fill a need. A Victoria based group headed by activist Minneh Kamau
devoted to prevent HIV/AIDS through education and to empower people through personal storytelling.

ICAD: Inter-agency coalition on AIDS and Development.
ICAD's mission is to lessen the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS in resource-poor communities
and countries by providing leadership and actively contributing to the Canadian and international response.

Food and Trees for Africa: FTFAs mission is to contribute to a healthy and sustainable quality of life
for all through environmental awareness and greening programmes
