 The beds in the informal housing are newly donated; the roof height makes the top bunks unusable. |
 All of the cooking is done on this ancient coal stove. |
 A nursery school, or "creche", is in operation for the youngest kids. The older ones mostly atend public school. |
 The housing is in major need of upgrading. These tin shacks are prone to flooding, cold, and pervasive mold. |
SOLID, through the generosity of our community in Canada,
was able to donate many useful dietary and household goods.
Any donations earmarked "for Driefontaine" will go directly
towards
meeting the immediate needs of this community of children.
